One of my favorite aspects of this hobby is the variety in miniatures that you can work on. This post is a perfect example of just that variety.
I am working lately on three different games and the models that go with that game. First up are some minions for the guy I painted in my last post. These guys were a challenge, because painting flesh realistically is always a bit difficult. I stuck with pink flesh on these three. My next batch will have brown skin, which brings with it a new type of challenge. In the game these foot soldiers operate under the direct orders of their commanders, laying down their lives against all odds if necessary.
On to the pics:
This first shot is the three models on their own. They clearly need to visit their closets and get some clothes on. Not exactly great for armed combat, but they look great.
This picture shows them with the last posts model, plus some mini minions that I painted up as well. I really like how the book came out. The script is just really small squiggly lines.
Next up are some finished models for the football game that Cole and I got for Christmas. These models are a bit tedious to paint (because they are basically all the same) but I love the game and really want a fully painted team. Here is the squad so far. I know it is only three models, but the other 9 are all 50% complete. I should have a full team soon.
The last pictures are from an army for the fantasy game that I play with my sons, called Age of SIgmar. These are the best of the best, a good balance to all the bad guys I have been painting lately. There are only three done, but the unit is only five, so only a bit to do to finish them up.
Thats it for now. I am sure that I will have more to show next time.
