Hey friends, it seems like connecting with you this way is just about the best we can do for now, but at least in a blog it feels familiar.
I have been working on a few things, none of which really go together, but that seems to be the way that I paint these days. The variety means I can sit at my desk and do whatever grabs me that day.
Up first is a tank mechanic for my human army. He has everything that he needs to repair a tank mid-game, so is super handy to have around. In the game, he repairs D3 (half a dice roll) wounds to a vehicle for turn, so he can keep tanks on the board much longer than they would otherwise.
I tried to make his robes dusty and dirty, worn from being on a muddy battlefield. I am also happy with how the metals came out, with a bit of grime on them to look a bit weathered.
Up next is something totally different. There is a great game called Shadespire that combines models and a card deck. I love it for the models, my son Cole loves it for the deck building aspect.
The armies are called warbands. I have done a few before, like these guys.
The model count is usually less than 6, which makes them really fun, small projects.
The current one is a band of beastmen, humans that have been living in the wilds and have gotten twisted by evil magic. Nice huh? The models are really fun and completely different from anything I have done before.
This was the test model. I love his pose, especially the arrow in his mouth.
Here are his mates, still very much in progress. I will post up the finished war band when I wrap them up.
Cool you should do witches
Absolutely amazing!
