My sons and I play a game called Blood Bowl. Gruesome name but really quite a fun and strategic game. It involves two teams playing what is basically American football (albeit a much rougher version). The twist is that the players can be human, orks, elves, dwarves, or ratmen called Skaven.
I have been working on both the human team and the ork teams from the main box and am halfway finished with each team. Both teams have 12 players and I have done 6 for each.
Each player has a unique roll on the field. The throwers are the quarterbacks for the team. There is throwing in the game and although it rarely works like you want it to, it can be a good strategy for moving the ball up the field.
Here are the human throwers. I recently put on their decals and really like the way they look.
Next up are the catchers. These guys are ideally who the throwers are passing to, as they have really good hands and are likely to catch the ball when targeted.
The blitzers are the linebackers on the teams, but also the running backs when on offense. They are able to smash through the line often injuring other players as they do so. These are my favorite players on the team.
I also worked on the ork team. I forgot the take individual shots but I do have the team shot. The don’t have catchers because they are really a run based team. The huge guy in the front is a black ork blocker. A nastier and even larger version of a standard ork. You do not want to be in this guys way on the field.
I also worked on the counters and pieces for the game over the break. I really like how they came out.
Hey Mr. Mason! These look great!
