For this weeks post I have wrapped up a few projects that have been sitting half painted for quite some time. I tend to have 3-5 projects going all the time, because when I sit down at my desk to paint, I am never really sure what I am going to be up for. Sometimes I am really in the mood for really focused painting, where my concentration has to be at its highest, and sometimes I just want to block in some base colors and nor worry a whole lot about how neat I am.
My finished work this week is from two different armies and two different universes. The first should be familiar, as I have shared work from this army before. They are the heroes of a fantasy realm that fight against the evils in that world. This miniature is a leader of sorts, commanding th troops from the front.
I love his pose, it is very dynamic. I like the way the his robes came out, the blue just stands out so nicely against the gold. He just looks very heroic.
The second project that I wrapped up was some support for my all human army in a world that takes place 40,000 years from now. It is not a happy universe at all, but one torn by constant fighting and war.
These guys are just basic troops that would fight right on the front lines, defending their homeworld from all sorts of bad guys.
They are armed with special weapons that are great agains large monsters or enemy tanks.
I really like the way they came out. There is a lot of contrast in the blacks and greens and I really like the effect that creates.
More projects are always being worked on, so check in next time for more pictures and thoughts on my growing toy soldier collection.
So cool! I love the pictures!
