I usually get quite a bit of time to paint in the summer and this year was no different. I have been working to grow my Imperial Fists army for the futuristic version of the game that I play called Warhammer 40,000.
Yellow tends to be quite a challenging color to paint, but I have the recipe down at this point and it is just a matter of taking my time and enjoying the process.
First up is a transport to get the baseline troops into the thick of it quickly. I love the challenge of painting larger models, as you can do some really cool things with weathering and damage.
Sticking with the vehicle theme, I finished up some bikers for the Fists as well. I am really happy with how they came out and enjoy playing with them in games. The have a move of 12 inches and can get around the enemy flank really easily.
Last up are 3 Space Marines that are the core of any Marine army. There are still 2 more to do from the squad and they will get done at some point down the line.
Finally is the commander of this force. This is my avatar on the battlefield and I tried to push my painting as much as I could with him. I used every technique I have learned in all my time in the hobby, and am really happy with how he came out.
Thats it for now. I have moved on to other armies for now, but seeing that the Imperial Fists are my favorite, I will definitely circle back to them soon.
